I am by no means a proficient blogger. You could call me a proficient drafter, because I start to create posts, and then end up saving them as drafts! Call me procrastination Pete!
Anyway, I was clearing up the plethora of spam comments that I had, and decided to upgrade WordPress, which was nice and quick, with not problems. I then thought to myself – I have this blog, why aren’t you using it?
So here I am, writing these words, with plenty to say, but not in the right frame of mind to say it. Many things have happened since last I posted, from my sister getting married, to my grandfather passing away, to me celebrating my first year of employment after the year of disaster that was 2009.
Since we are now in 2011, there are a lot of things that I want to accomplish this year. First and foremost is getting into shape, so I am now going to the gym three times a week and working out with a personal trainer. While it is extremely hard, I am making progress, and to be honest, as apprehensive as I feel pre workout, once I am done, no matter how tired and sore I feel – I feel good!
Other things include finishing writing at least one novel, one screenplay, and one decent poem. No more drafts for me!
Anyway, I can’t write any more right now as I have a ton of things to do, but I will make an effort to start writing more often, if not every day!
As for a song, well I saw the movie “Green Hornet” the other day, and they played this song as the spoilt playboy son comes home after a night of partying to find out that his father is dead. This is the song that was playing, and it was not only apt, but really enjoyable. The interesting thing about this song, is while it sounds perfect for Johnny Cash, it was actually written and performed by Sting – and Johnny Cash covers it!
Either way, the song is really nice – so please enjoy “I hung my head” by Johnny Cash:
Finally….Manoj has come back to blogdom. Where the fuck have u been moron? Get back to writing and blogging. Welcome back.
YEEEEEHAAAAAAA. I’m so glad you’re back. I have missed you so much. Don’t stay away so long next time – please!!!
I am terribly sorry to hear about your grandfather passing away. That is really sad.
It’s great to hear, however, that your sister got married and YAY for the personal trainer. I’ve heard it’s really hard work to have a personal trainer so good on you.
I’m glad you’re back but I really must insist on MORE POSTS MORE POSTS MORE POSTS!!!!!
Thanks Selma!!
I will try to post more than I used to. Well, I’m already up on last year
Thanks Roshan – I’ll be more frequent this year!
